New Addition

Well... I said I wasn't going to do it again... but I did. We got a new puppy. We love her. Her name is Molly. She is a Snorkie (schnauzer/yorkie). She is about 6 months old and weights 7.5 lbs. In size, she is a tad bit smaller then Angel ( our 5 year old tiny toy poodle) who weights about 5 lbs. Molly is a little fatty and about the laziest puppy I have ever seen.
We were very worried about how Angel would take to her because Angel is treated like a little princess. And our worries were justified. Angel hates her. She won't look at her or anything. Molly is just a puppy and wants to play with Angel, but every time Molly gets near her, Angel starts growling. It is actually pretty funny. And right now, they are trying to eat each others food.
As for how we have been.... things are good. Abby is still struggling with middle school which is to be expected. Please pray for her.. not just because of school, but for other things that she is going through. She just needs some prayer. Abby has also started playing basketball. She is actually pretty good. She plays on Saturdays. She has really impressed us. Of course she is about 5'4, so that makes her pretty much taller then EVERYONE.. even me. And wears a 10.5 shoe. God love her. :)

Ally is doing wonderful. She is a little sick right now with a cold, but other wise she is doing great.
Lance... well I can't really say enough about this man. He is caring and loving. Like nothing that I have ever seen from a man. The way that he just jumps in and helps with the girls just amazes me more and more everyday. And coming from a former "single mom" that is AMAZING. He takes the girls to school and to ball practice. I couldn't have asked God for a more wonderful man. And I can't tell Lance enough how much I love, need and appreciate him. He is my rock, best friend and hero.

As for me.. I'm doing great. I really don't have anything to complain about (which is odd). My life is GREAT. Just getting addicted to reality TV.
Now, back to our puppy. Below are some pics and a video of her an Angel TRYING to play.

Molly asleep on Lance (daddy)

Daddy with both puppies. As you can see Angel won't even look her way. :) Video of the puppies playing ball in the yard on Sunday. If you listen closely, you can hear them bark at each other.. That is when I start laughing. And what about Lance throwing like a little girl. I just noticed that. VERY FUNNY. :)

New found respect for our moms!!!

I'll tell ya girls.... raising a pre-teen is not EASY AT ALL.

Since I have become a mom, 12 years ago, I reach these points where I think to myself "MAN, HOW DID MY MOM DO IT". Well this has been the biggest WOW yet.

I'm going to talk about slumber parties and cramming for exams. :)

Slumber Parties

Ok seriously.. I like to tell myself that we weren't as bad and Abby and her friends are.. but something tells me that we really were. Abby's birthday was Tuesday so I let her have her 1st slumber party this past weekend. There were 5 girls there (including Abby) so I though.. ok, this won't be that bad... there's just 5 right?? WRONG... 5 little smart mouth... DRAMA QUEENS... I told them, that there were a couple of rules... Nothing to drink upstairs but water or sprite and no nail polish.. Our house is still VERY new to us. :) Well.. that just went in one ear and out the other... I'm not sure when the girls went to bed sometime around 2:00 I think. Lance and I were in bed way before that. One of the girls had to get up and leave early for church, so I got up around 8:30 and went upstairs to get her up.... and WOW.. our bonus room was trashed. I found pizza crust on the floor... chewed up bubble gum on the bathroom tile, candy rappers EVERYWHERE. Diet Pepsi cans (that's not Sprite or Water). And Lance said that when we was vacuuming afterwards that he vacuumed up a bunch of NERDS.

As upset as I was.. I paused and was taken back about 22 years or so, when Cayce and Marty climbed up on top of the pool table and threw potato chips all over the bonus room. I'm sure that some of you can remember that. I know my mom still does... and she reminded me of that the other day. "SORRY MOM".. Again, I think.. how did my mom do it.. because you all know, I had a TON of slumber parties.. with like 15 girls at a time... Does anyone remember my 17th birthday, when I had 17 girls spend the night and we had the cops called on us. Most of you that read this were there. :) Anyways... I know that I am one of the first to have a daughter that is 12... and I know that it's not going to get any easier..So.. Good luck to you all.

Now, lets move on to exams. With Abby in the 6th grade, this is the first time that she has had to take exams. We were studying for 4 hours last night. 2 of those on 1 subject. SCIENCE. (Thanks to Anna, I did pretty good in that class). Again, sitting there on the couch with her thinking " no wonder my mom wanted to kill me all the time". Abby is just like me... doesn't like to study.. but will cram it all in for exams. Pray for her.. they are today and tomorrow.

Point of this is to THANK YOUR MOMS.. for putting up with us over the years... thank them for putting up with me too. :)

Oh, and btw, Ally is doing good too. She is just trying to stay our of Abby's way. :)

Hope everyone has a safe and HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!

Tagged

Ok, first I want to apologize that I have not been blogging lately. I have been SUPER busy at work (which is when I would blog) and don't even want to think about a computer when I get home. So, SORRY TO ALL!!!

Here is my photo.

This sweet photo was taken exactly 2 years ago. Ally was 6 and Abby was 9. I look at those sweet little faces and I think... WOW... they have changed so much. Abby wasn't hormonal back then... Ally wasn't so whinny.. well maybe a little bit. And they didn't fight like cats and dogs like they do now. I miss that. I love my daughters so much.. they are my world. But man... let me tell ya.. it is a knock down drag out EVERYDAY between the two of them. :)

So.. just to give you an update on me. I had a pretty good birtday. Lance and the girls got me this GREAT set of christmas dishes. I love them. Also 2 DVD's. My husband is the best. :)

The house is great.. finally getting everything put in its place and pictures on the wall. Lance has put so much work into making our house feel like a home. He has spent so much time on the christmas lights... did I mention that I am married to Clark Giswald JR. But it does look great. I'll take a pic and put it on here.

Hope everyone has a wonderful Holiday.

Love you all!!

Moving and the Luau

Well, FINALLY we are all moved in. We closed on the house last Thursday and moved in the weekend before that. Yes, the builder actually let us move in before we closed. Which was really sweet given that the day before he and I had yelled at each other on the phone.. I guess God was telling me that I shouldn't be so hateful, even if someone is hateful to me, because you never know when you will need something from them. LESSON LEARNED.

I love the house and the girls couldn't be more thrilled with their rooms. Lance and I bought a new couch and flat screen for the great room down stairs. I LOVE THIS COUCH. And the TV looks great over the fire place. We have been able to get some pictures hung up around the house "THANK YOU MOM AND JOYCE" But the ton of "CRAP" that is in the garage, is overwhelming. That is what Lance and I are doing this weekend. MAKING ROOM FOR MY CAR. After all, its cold out in the mornings. I will post some pics next week of the house.. I will take some this weekend.
Now, the Luau. We had a blast. The clubhouse was so fun and colorful. Lance's dad did a great job of being the DJ - Thanks GENE!! Gene, made the best toast to us, and Lance followed it up with some very sweet and tearful words to me. I love this man so much.

Abby and Ally had a great time too. I am going to put some pics that Abby took of the Luau. There are some good ones with me and the girls. HOWEVER, I am going to put one on here, but ignore the "adult beverage" that I am holding.. I told Abby, "thanks for getting a snap of that" She laughed at me.

Below is a pic of Lance and his sister Brooke. THEY LOOK NOTHING ALIKE

And of course me and my beverage. :)

We're Back!!!! And "Mauied"

Let me just say... I have no idea what time zone I am in... And I am so sleep deprived. :)
We got back Saturday night about 6:30 p.m. After 2 long days of traveling. But it was worth EVERY BIT OF IT. Maui is absolutely beautiful. Lance and I had such a great time. It was really like a fairly tail over there. I can't type a whole lot about it right now because I am at work and still trying to get caught back up.. but I am going to but some of our favorite pics from the wedding in here for you guys to see. Don't just look at the what is in the picture... LOOK AT WHAT IS IN THE BACK GROUND. That is what is so wonderful.
First... here are some pics of the cove where Lance and I were married.
Now, here are some of the wedding.

New Pictures of the House!

Well, I have been waiting for the garage door to be installed before I posted another pic of the outside, but OH WELL. Lance and I were so excited yesterday when we went by there and saw that they had installed the cabinets. SHOCK!!! We weren't expecting that at all. Yes, they still have to be painted but oh well, they are there. Here are some pics that Lance took. We are so excited about this house. We even bought our fridge this weekend. OUCH... THAT HURT!!! We close in about 6 more weeks. :)

Back to School Dance!!!

Well... for all you mommies out there with the little baby girls.... HOLD ON TO THEM... TIGHT... because you will close your eyes and wake up and all of a sudden they are almost 12, starting middle school and going to their first dance.

So, Abby came home from her first day of school asking if she could go to the "back to school" dance. Well, my first reaction was "NO" but then mom reminded me that I went to all of that stuff, and I was just being too over protective.. and as always she was right. And of course Abby was going. So I picked her up from her dads on Friday (where she goes after school) and took her to moms house to get ready. She looked BEAUTIFUL.

I'm not that mom that lets her 11 year old daughter wear make-up yet. Lots of parents do at this age, but I don't. At least not on a daily basis. But I will let her wear it for "special occasions". And I felt like the dance feel under that. Mom snapped a few pics of me putting some make up on her. These are priceless to me.

So, here is the funny part for all of you with the little ones.... This is what you have to look forward to. I am glad that I am going through this first so that I can warn you all of what is to come in your future. ..... LOL...

So after getting her all "dolled up" we head to the school. And we all remember the Hunter dances.. they haven't changed much... At least thats what I think at this point....I told Abby that I was going to walk her inside.. but she threw such a fit that I just couldn't do it... I knew that I wasn't going to walk her in, I just wanted her to have a freak out moment. So anyway... I pull up to drop her off, about 15 mins after it started... and I swear these boys that were walking into this school were 6 foot tall with facial hair... SERIOUSLY... I don't remember boys having facial hair in middle school. HOW DOES THAT HAPPEN? But I did what a good, NON EMBARRASSING MOM would do and just dropped her off.

She called me to come pick her up, and I had to actually go in to the school and pick her up. Well, I wasn't ready for that either... Ok lets flash back to dances from our era. We would all stand and hug the wall... NO ONE WOULD ACTUALLY DANCE.. RIGHT?? Every once and a while.. maybe. But I walk in and there are kids, dropping it like its hot on the dance floor. I felt like I was in a club. The only thing I can say was there was plenty of supervision, no smoke, and no alcohol. :) And no bar to dance on!

All and all it was actually an ok experience, and Abby had a great time. First thing that she said when she saw me was "mom, there was so many cute boys in there". I said "oh great, here we go".

Enjoy the pics.
