Fathers Day Weekend

Well, Friday night, I went to a "girl party" with my friend Shauna. We had some "big girl drinks" which I very rarely ever do anymore and just had some girl time. It also gave Lance some time to hang out with the girls. They watched some 80's movies, and ate CiCi's Pizza. Fun night without mommy.

Saturday, Lance and I got up and went to the bank... AGAIN, and then drove over to the house... YEAH, they were actually working on it, so we thought we would go back on Sunday and see what all they go done.. I will get to that in a min. So then we went back home and got the girls dressed and off we went. We had to go get Chris and Dad something for Fathers Day. So we went to Sports Seasons to get Chris a hat. Then we went to Dicks to get my dad some golf shirts. After that, the girls and I snuck over to Best Buy and got a couple of Movies for Lance for Fathers Day. He has been on an 80's movies kick lately so we got him Ghostbusters 1 & 2. And a great, sappy card. HE LOVED IT. He may not even be a step father yet, but he is so good to those girls, he just deserved to be acknowledged for all that he does. When we got home the girls wanted to hit some golf balls in the yard, so since dad lives on the lake we said "go for it", but here is the funny part. The dog LOVES to play fetch with the golf balls, which can be nice, since sometimes you don't have to go them, but sometimes she wants to pick your golf ball up and just run with it. I took some video of the girls hitting the golf balls and the dog messing with them... more ALLY..... its pretty funny.

Sunday, Chris came to get the girls at like 9:30, and Lance and I layed out by the pool for a couple of hours then went to Smyrna to see Lances parents. That's a whole other story that I don't even have time to type. :) Then we had dinner with my dad, his girlfriend Diane, brother Brian and his wife Aimee at Cheddars. Then we went back up to the house, and sure enough they have finished laying all of the block. MAN, THEY REALLY MOVE. We were so excited. I have put a picture of that too. The first is a picture of the lot 2 weeks ago, and the second is one from last night. Its a little dark, but you can see all of the block.

Another note about Fathers Day... My special Lance. Thank you so much for all that you do for my girls. You set such a wonderful example of the kind of man that I want them to find one day. You show them and me more love then we have ever seen from any man. From the bottom of my heart Thank you. And we love you so much.
Ok, so on a side note. I haven't mentioned that Abby is going to 4H camp for the week. She leaves on Monday (today) and comes back Friday. Now, for you moms that aren't used to being away from your daughters overnight you can sympathize with me. Now, I am used to being away from Abby for days at a time, just because she goes to her dads, but REALLY??? for 5 days... and did I mention NO contact. She can't even take her cell phone. YES... she has a cell phone.. I am THAT mom. I took for to Gallatin 4H center this morning at 6:15 and they left about 8:00. She was so excited. This is first time that Abby has been away like this and she is really excited but I am a little nervous. She is going with two of her friends, so I know that she will have a great time. Wish me luck.
